It’s no secret, since the Gallagher Amendment passed in 1983, Colorado school funding has gone from on par with the national average to one of the worst in the nation. In Eagle County, we rely on community donations and support to maintain high-quality schools within a world-class resort community. With your help, E•ƒ(ec)’s mission is critical to paving the way for better schools fueled by student success.
E•ƒ(ec) is a volunteer, parent-led organization. There are many ways support excellent schools in Eagle County beyond making a monetary donation. Get involved.
NEW – School Site Representatives
We are looking to create a team of Site Representatives at each of our district schools to keep us connected and to support each school community’s needs throughout the school year. Contact Amy Lewis if you are interested in representing your school to our Board of Directors.
Join a Committee
Our organization is comprised of community members, ECS parents and non-ECS parents with skills relevant to running a 501(c)(3) fundraising non-profit. We value people with a variety of skills – such as marketing, sales, investment and finance. If you are interested in joining one of our committees, please contact Matt Scherr, Chair of our Nominating Committee. Committees include: Programs, Development, Finance, and Events.
Volunteer at Project Funway, Evening of Stars, or Wild West Day
Project Funway in February is our main fundraising event of the year and it’s by far the most unique event in our community. We also celebrate teachers at Evening of Stars at the end of the school year in May; and raise funds for nine elementary schools throughout the district in September with Wild West Day. These events require hundreds of hours of parent power, for jobs big and small. Contact Amy Lewis to sign up.
