Kelly Alter

Kelly Alter began volunteering at Red Sandstone Elementary School in 2007 when her son began kindergarten. In 2011 she became PTO president and initiated a successful fundraising campaign raising money for eliminated staff positions to help fill the gaps created by years of statewide budget cuts. Kelly was a founding trustee in 2011 of the newly invigorated Education Foundation of Eagle County. Kelly volunteers her time managing programs that support our teachers and students, chairing the Effective Apple Award committee, and serving on the organizing committee for Project Funway. She is a staunch advocate for public education.
