Matt Scherr

After arriving in the Vail Valley from Denver in 2000, Matt worked at the Vail Leadership Institute and quickly discovered a latent passion for community and public service. With two young children in public schools, he joined the extraordinary community leaders who founded EFEC to restore funding to local schools when the Great Recession hit. He has been honored to serve his community on various volunteer board, on the Minturn town council (including three years as mayor), and now as an Eagle County Commissioner.
