During the school year, a $500 prize is awarded monthly to an outstanding teacher to promote excellence in teaching. Any student, parent, administrator or staff member may nominate a teacher for this cash prize. Total Awards Given: $16,000 to 32 teachers.

Support Staff Corps
Our community and state face significant challenges in attracting and retaining teachers and support staff. E•ƒ(ec) ’s School Staff Support Corps employs a network of paid individuals to cover recess and lunch duty, allowing teachers to focus on what they do best
E•ƒ(ec) Scholarship Awards: Presented at Evening of Stars, these academic scholarships promote excellence in ECSD teachers and staff by providing financial support to advance their own career knowledge and skills in specific educational areas and obtain advanced degrees or certifications. In the past five years, we’ve awarded over $50,000. (Available to ALL ECSD STAFF.)
While EFEC has always committed to teacher mental health, during the COVID-19 pandemic we learned the increasing need for this work. We have developed and established a menu of immediate and long-term impact programs to support teachers' mental health. The programs are designed to provide time, self-care tools, "brain breaks", and increase morale by expressing gratitude.
EQUITABLE CLASSROOMS
The Education Foundation of Eagle County is pleased to announce our Play Like Lily Grant, which supports coaches and physical education teachers in advancing athletic initiatives throughout Eagle County.
Established in memory of Lily Sage DeMuth, this fund honors her vibrant life, her passion for sports, and the values she embodied as a player, coach, and friend: kindness, teamwork, joy, and inclusion. Play Like Lily strives to give children across Eagle County the lasting impact of sports, starting in elementary school and continuing throughout their school years.
We invite all ECSD coaches, PE teachers, and team volunteers to apply for funding to support, enrich, expand, or initiate programs that help students thrive through sports.
Evening of Stars is our district-wide, year-end celebration recognizing educators, support staff, volunteers, and district staff.
